Junior Estimator, Stan Kinnane, joined B&G Construction 2 years ago as a Trainee Estimator and has since progressed into his current role
One of Stan’s key responsibilities is pricing tenders for potential projects by putting together subcontractor packages and reviewing quotes. He tracks costs and assists with variations, valuations, and final accounts.
To do this, Stan communicates directly with sub-contractors, suppliers, and site foremen. Attending site meetings, updating project files, and processing purchase orders — these are all tasks that Stan handles on a day-to-day basis. As costs continue to rise across the construction sector, this is an important component for all projects.
Working on an exciting project, Cuan Buí
One key project that Stan has been involved with is Cuan Buí, B&G Construction’s newest development of 12 modern homes in Malahide.
Working on Cuan Buí has allowed Stan to develop his skills in planning, and cost control. It has also helped to cultivate his professional skill set by collaborating with other partners on the project, such as architects and engineers.

Life at B&G Construction
Stan highlighted the culture of continuous improvement at B&G Construction. With projects varying hugely in scope and requirements, there is always something new to learn and take with you to the next project.
Stan is currently studying part-time online at Atlantic Technological University Sligo to gain his qualification in Quantity Surveying. One of the main priorities at B&G Construction is to support its people’s growth and career progression.
