Collaborating with Abigail Woods, a Dublin-based interior designer specialising in luxury interiors, was an easy decision. “I wanted to create a visually stunning design that paired luxury with functional living spaces,” said Richard Fitzmaurice, managing director of B&G Construction. “I knew Abigail would be able to transform these rooms with bespoke interiors that stand the test of time.”
The interior design of these homes was informed by the exterior curvature of the buildings, creating a unified design principle throughout the homes. Abigail created a unique experience for each home, incorporating curved elements in the kitchen, living room, and bedrooms, creating a welcoming and comfortable atmosphere. In the kitchen, Abigail chose curved ends for the island countertop and added a green sofa and elegant chair with round features that complement the oval kitchen table. This theme continues throughout the entirety of the house with timeless, carefully placed details, such as the rounded finishes on the wardrobes in the master bedroom. From the off-white boucle sofa in the living room to the arched backs of dining chairs, the soft edges enhance a comfortable and relaxing environment.
The colour scheme, featuring khaki greens and natural, earthy tones, promotes a sense of sophistication while still embodying a sense of grounded-ness, growth, and liveability. Accents are created by soft furnishings including plants, cushions, and plush accessories add modern touches. The third bedroom on the top floor offers a slightly more contemporary and opulent feel, with the use of deeper colour and fabrics, such as silk, that invites guests of all life stages to get comfy! The more contemporary style in this room brings an elevated sense of liveable luxury.
