This November, we’re proud to take part in Movember, a global movement dedicated to raising awareness and funds for men’s health, including mental health, suicide prevention, prostate cancer and testicular cancer.
Why Movember Matters?
Men’s health often doesn’t get the attention it deserves. Movember aims to change that by shining a spotlight on critical issues that affect men worldwide.
Mental Health and Suicide Prevention: Men are often less likely to talk about their mental health, leading to alarming statistics—globally, one man dies by suicide every minute. The construction industry sees some of the highest suicide rates due to high stress and stigma around seeking help. Movember works to break this silence, encouraging men to open up and seek support.
Prostate Cancer: This is the most commonly diagnosed cancer in men, yet early detection often makes a significant difference. Movember funds groundbreaking research and awareness campaigns to ensure men know the signs and get tested early.
Testicular Cancer: Affecting younger men, testicular cancer is highly treatable when caught early. However, many men are unaware of how to check for symptoms. Movember provides education and resources to change this.
By tackling these issues head-on, Movember doesn’t just raise funds—it saves lives. It’s about more than moustaches; it’s about changing the way we think about and approach men’s health.
